Southern Illinois University Carbondale is an NCAA Division I member of the Missouri Valley, Missouri Valley Football & Mid American Conferences. We are currently looking for two Women's Soccer Assistant Coaches. Specific coaching assignments will be determined based on applicant interests and program needs.
Duties and Responsibilities: This position will be responsible to: Identify and recruit quality student-athletes; Assist with the organization and conduct of practices and competitions; Promote the welfare and academic progress of student-athletes; Ensure the compliance of the program with the University, NCAA and MVC rules; Assist with the daily administrative duties of the program including team travel and film exchange; Participate in fundraising and public relations activities as wel as assisting with summer camps. Additional responsibility will include scouting report on opponents for strategic game planning, recruiting evaluations for head coach, compliance - keep head coach up to date on compliance issues, and handle film exchange with other Division I programs.
Minimum Qualifications: Requires bachelor's degree; thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations; technical knowledge of Women's Soccer and the demonstrated ability to apply that knowledge; college coaching experience and demonstrated recruiting ability.
