Sports Performance Coach Full-Time Posted November 13, 2025
Ursuline College, a NCAA Division II institution and member of the G-MAC Conference, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Sports Performance Coach to lead the sports performance program for 15 intercollegiate athletic teams. The position reports to the Athletic Director.
Essential Job Functions •Design and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to student-athletes’ specific sports and skill levels, including basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball, cross country/track and field, stunt, lacrosse, bowling, tennis, golf. •Conduct skill assessments to identify strengths and areas for improvement, setting clear goals for each student-athlete’s development. •Lead dynamic coaching sessions that incorporate strength conditioning, agility drills, flexibility exercises, and sport-specific techniques. •Monitor athlete progress through regular evaluations and adjust training plans accordingly to maximize performance gains. •Promote proper technique and safety protocols during all activities to prevent injuries and ensure a safe training environment. •Maintain detailed records of training sessions, progress reports, and safety incidents to ensure consistent quality of coaching. •Stay current with the latest trends in sports science, coaching techniques, and youth development to continually enhance your coaching skills.
Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, or related field -Current NCSA/CSCS certification and/or CSCCa/SCCC certification -Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a collegiate or professional strength and conditioning environment -Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to NCAA rules and regulations -Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification Preferred: -Master's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, or related field -Head Coach or supervisory experience within NCAA Division II athletics
