KC Scott Gallagher is seeking an independent contractor or part time position to coach within our ECNL Boys platform.
KCSG ECNL teams train three times per week at our facilities in Kansas City. We are looking for a coach who has a passion to coach at a high level and coach within the Flagship Boys Platform at KCSG and will fit in with our Club culture of developing players technically and tactically to the best of our ability in a safe, fun and family-friendly environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To attend all assigned teams scheduled training sessions, league games and tournaments.
To maintain transparent and professional communication with parents and players of the assigned teams. Such as (but not limited to) scheduling, player development, planning and player evaluations
To attend all required KCSG staff training and coaches meetings.
To work as part of a team of coaches and adhere to the vision, philosophy and Shield Values of the Club.
To work with Directors of Coaching, Platform Director and peer Coaches to develop and enhance the delivery of the club curriculum, principles of play and philosophy.
To be punctual, presentable and represent the club always with an exceptional level of professionalism on and off the fields.
Assist highschool players and families in the process of college recruitment
To possess knowledge of, and respect, all soccer rules, club rules and league rules.
To demonstrate superior sideline behavior.
To pass all appropriate background checks.
Qualifications
USSF B License Minimum Preferred Experience coaching in various Regional and National Platforms a plus Highly motivated to develop players in line with club philosophy Successful applicant must be available to start work no later than May 31 in Kansas City Must be fully authorized to work in the US - no Visa sponsorship

KCSG has run or sponsored events benefitting the H8 Cancer Foundation, Banded Brigade Outdoor, Susan G. Komen Foundation, The Victory Project and Stephanie Vest Foundation. In Summer 2018 the Club donated hundreds of uniform kits to refugees and orphanages in South Sudan through Harvesters Reaching the Nations organization. KCSG teams also conduct local team building activities by volunteering together at local charities.
KCSG leaders are deeply involved in the local community with careers spanning entrepreneurism,... finance/banking, insurance, education and athletics. KCSG is governed by an elected Board of Directors who have employed various full-time and part time positions to manage business and soccer operations. Business operations are led by an Executive Leadership Team and Soccer Operations are led by the Technical Director and various Directors of Coaching. KCSG has one of the most educated and experienced coaching staff in the area and region. Over 80% of KCSG coaches have earned a USSF “D” license or higher with over 10 coaches earning a “C”, “B”, or “A” license. A majority of KCSG coaches have playing or coaching experience at the high-school & college levels, as well as the Club has over 5 coaches who have played professional soccer from indoor professional teams to playing in the USL, MLS and international soccer as high as the World Cup. KCSG coaches are required to continue their soccer coaching education through attendance at coach’s meetings, clinics and pursuit of USSF & USC higher-level licensing courses.
