Salary Details:
Compensation varies based on experience, coaching licenses and relevant experience.
NLSA Surf a premier youth soccer club based in Mercer County, NJ, has opening for youth head coach for our 2011G Elite team and our 2010B Premier team. The goal is to find coaches who fit into our values, vision and will help continue to grow the club and help our players reach their full potential. Role would begin in August 2025.

On Field Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading and planning training sessions, developing player skills, and fostering a positive learning environment
- Work closely with individuals and groups to enhance their technical abilities, tactical understanding, physical fitness, and overall performance on the field
- Design and implement age and skill level-appropriate training sessions tailored to the needs and goals of each player and team
- Provide instruction on various aspects of soccer including dribbling, passing, shooting, defending, etc and game strategy
- Conduct Individual Development Plans to evaluate player strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement
- Offer constructive feedback and encouragement to motivate players to reach their full potential
- Monitor player progress and adjust training plans accordingly to ensure continual development
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship
- Potential to assist with organizing and coordinating events such as private sessions, small group sessions, camps, and clinics
- Represent Next Level Soccer Academy in a professional manner at all times
Off the field:
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and other staff members to address questions, concerns, and feedback when needed
- Work closely with Leadership Staff
- Take part in all Coaching Education Programs required by DoC
- Achieve all goals assigned by Director of Coaching and Technical Director
Skills & Abilities:

- Strong understanding of modern soccer tactics, training methodologies, and player development strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with Directors, Coaches, Players, and Families in a positive and constructive manner.
- Ability to evaluate Coach performance and provide feedback in a clear and effective manner.
- Passion for soccer and dedication to fostering youth development.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Stay updated on the latest coaching methodologies, trends, and advancements in youth soccer.
- Pursue relevant coaching certifications and attend workshops to enhance coaching skills.

About NLSA Surf
At NLSA Surf, every player matters and so we look to place our players and teams in the most developmentally appropriate and challenging environment for league, cup, and tournament play. Our top-level girls teams participate in the ECNL Regional League (ECNL-RL). Our top-level boys teams and next-tier girls teams participate in the NPL Mid Atlantic Premier League. Our other teams participate in EDP, ICSL, or Rock League.
All our teams participate in a challenging and competitive showcase or tournament schedule and may compete in various Cup competitions through either USYS/NJYS or US Club Soccer.
