The Fredericksburg Soccer Club Incorporated (FSCI), a youth soccer club based in Fredericksburg, Virginia, has an opening for a part time senior level goalkeeper director. FSCI offers a travel soccer program, rec academy program, and training programs.
Senior Level Goalkeeper Director: Part-time position available. The senior level Goalkeeper Director will train goalkeepers primarily in our travel program and support other programs.
Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:
- Lead the development and training of all goalkeepers in the club
- Plan training sessions for goalkeepers
- Develop a goalkeeper curriculum and learning objectives
- Work with other goalkeeper coaches on staff
- Provide feedback to parents and players
- Assist with other coaching or admin duties as time permits
- Have an outgoing, charismatic personality with the ability to effectively communicate with volunteers, parents, employees, and other stakeholders.
Requirements for the Position:
- Hold at least a United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeper Level 3 or similar goalkeeper certification or willing to obtain a high goalkeeper certification.
- Ability to demonstrate technical skills and teach players
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent IT Skills, specifically using spreadsheets, presentations, word processors, etc.
At least ONE of the following desired attributes:
- Have the United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma or USSF D License
- Ability to speak both English and Spanish
- Played the game at the high school, college, or professional level
