Coaches at Camp Watitoh play a key role in creating fun and engaging experiences for campers, whose typical day revolves around running sessions for campers at their specific program area. Coaches start and end their day with the campers in their cabin, but during program time, they lead activities in their program area. This dynamic leads to not only building a relationship with the campers in their own bunk, but gives coaches the opportunity to get to know each and every camper throughout the summer. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in working with children, coaching or teaching, or those seeking internship opportunities in their field.

Specialists are responsible for the preparation of age specific lesson plans for their program area, engaging campers and staff during their sessions, maintaining their program area’s equipment, and communicating needs of their program area – such as new equipment or maintenance needs – to their program area supervisor. We are currently looking for a basketball, hockey, baseball, and soccer coach for Summer 2025

Coaching Responsibilities and Duties: · Work alongside 100 other staff, and work closely with the co-counselors in your cabin. · Prepare and execute lesson plans for different age groups of campers. · Bond and create memories with campers aged 7-15 · Coach the sport you love · Contribute to overall camp life · Have a lasting impact on our campers

Watitoh is located in the Berkshire region of Massachusetts, is less than 3 hours from New York City and 2 hours from Boston. We are following all State of Massachusetts and CDC guidelines to ensure a safe camp community.

All applicants must have at least one year of higher education or the equivalent thereof in work experience.

Welcome to Camp Watitoh!! A place where campers ages 7-15 spend their summers doing land and water sports, adventure, and creative arts. Camp Watitoh is an overnight co-ed camp located in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts, 2 hours from Boston and 3 hours from NYC. Staff come from all over the country to work with our campers and build their own resumes by coaching sports and teaching activities and life skills. We provide an environment that enables campers and staff to experience the rewards and challenges of acquiring new skills and exploring new areas of interest all while having fun.
