SUMMARY: The Assistant Coach’s primary responsibility is to support the Head Coach and team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Head Coach in preparing for and coaching the team during all matches played by the team, including supervision of the conduct of the team’s players on the field and overseeing player development for the team.
Making public appearances as Assistant Coach (including community appearances) and participating in all such promotional, sponsorship, and advertising activities as the employer may reasonably request (for the employer, the team, or third parties designated or approved by the employer.
Requiring team players to abide by the terms and conditions of their standard player agreements (SPAs) with the MLS, and to comply with all policies, procedures, guidelines, rules and regulations applicable to their conduct as members of the team (including, without limitation, the employer’s policies, the restrictions and requirements regarding wearing of the team uniforms and use of apparel and equipment furnished by employer, the team or MLS or their respective sponsors and suppliers, while participating in Team matches, training camps, and other activities sponsored by the employer, the team or MLS)
Appearing on, and cooperating with, all match-related and team and/or MLS event-related broadcasts and other media presentations (including, without limitation, by television, radio and/or internet)
Traveling as necessary as reasonably requested by employer for all activities related to the team, MLS or their respective sponsors, suppliers and advertisers.
Performing such other duties for the employer relating to soccer including, without limitation, in connection with the employer’s USL reserve, youth or any other affiliated teams.
Performing such other duties consistent with employment as an Assistant Coach for a professional soccer team as may from time to time be reasonably determined and assigned to the employee by the Head Coach or the General Manager.
Assist Coaches and Scouts in identifying and attracting talent to the New England Revolution Academy
Assist with out of season coaching such as Individual Development Plans, Futsol or other player development opportunities.
Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Head Coach in supervising the Soccer team
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
High Level Coaching Certification (US Soccer and NSCAA)
2-4 Years Relevant Experience
Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and have a sense of accountability
Must be able to travel and work nights/weekends
Bi-lingual (English and Spanish / Portuguese) preferred
