Community Soccer Director (Key Responsibility Area)
KRA I: Recreational Director
CT I: Responsible for the successes and challenges of the DASC Recreational Program.
CT II: Coordination of forming teams, assigning coaches, and creating schedules.
CT III: Main contact for all volunteer recreational coaches. This includes facilitating seasonal coaching meetings and clinics as well as assisting coaches with team functions
CT IV: Working with volunteer recreational coaches with the goal of every coach understanding coaching methodology, injury prevention and appropriate age training.
CT V: Actively coach recreational team sessions and attend recreational matches during the season. The expectation is that the coach will be on the field coaching or attending games for a minimum of 8-10 hours per week during the season.
CT VI: Coordinate purchasing of uniforms for each season in accordance with the sponsorship commitments of DASC.
CT VII: Collaborate with the YDA Director to administer recreational camps and clinics.
CT VIII: Work with Director of Business Operations to create and adhere to Recreational Program budget.
KRA II: Community Soccer Director
CT I: Create as many revenue neutral soccer opportunities as possible. These include but are limited to working with Sioux Falls Neighborhood Soccer League, After School Care, Church Programs, and the Multicultural Center.
CT II: Create & Direct the DASC Pop & Play Series. These are a series of free open field sessions at different parks throughout the year. The goal is to give extra opportunities to play and maintain interest in DASC Recreational Program.
KRA III: Other duties as assigned
CT I: There may be other duties that need to be performed to assist in the running of Dakota Alliance Soccer Club. These duties may involve, but are not limited to preparing fields for play, running additional training sessions for coaches, assisting in winterizing the DASC Training Grounds, attending staff meetings.
Community Soccer Director Year
· January: Open Spring Recreational Registration & Run Winter Recreational Soccer
· April/May: Spring Recreational Season (Run sessions for teams, assist recreational coaches. Spend 3-6 hours at fields on Saturdays attending as many Recreational games as possible).
· June: Open Fall Recreational Registration and potentially run Summer Recreational Program
· July/August: Coach DASC Camps, Pop & Plays. Perform Recreational Administration (Form Teams, recruit coaches, create schedules, run coach meetings)
· September/October: Fall Recreational Season (Run sessions for teams, assist recreational coaches. Spend 3-6 hours at fields on Saturdays attending as many Recreational games as possible).
· November/December: Winter Recreational Organization & Winter Pop & Plays
