Reporting to the Executive Director and State Administrator, provides planning, programming, and administration for the grassroots development needs for the Birmingham Area League and growth throughout our clubs in Alabama.
Position Summary
The position is responsible for developing and maintaining a program that promotes and reflects league success, a high level of integrity, and the successful development of our players, coaches, parents, and clubs’ soccer community.
Minimum Requirements
3-4 Years’ experience in league management and schedules
Preference to working knowledge and comfort with Gotsport software
Excellent verbal/written communication and dispute resolution skills
Strong organization and time management skills during busy season
Demonstrates leadership qualities
Ability to develop and execute long-term vision for a growing soccer community
Committed to working a nontraditional work schedule
Successful completion of a background check, compliance with Safe Soccer and CoachSafely
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Successfully market program registration, process team registrations and billings, work with clubs for appropriate levels of competition, schedule seasonal games with appropriate field assignments utilizing GotSport software and appropriate communications with club field schedulers and referee assignors.
Collaborate with ASA colleagues and clubs within ASA to help grow the game across Alabama to new members and possible partnerships to include marketing the league(s), educating/developing coaches and referees, creating resources for parent education, and implementing more ideas to create a positive soccer community.
Work in conjunction with Executive Director to establish and achieve the Grassroots Program’s objectives and timeline for future success.
Actively support the league, and ASA business partners to determine the Grassroots needs of our clubs’ recreational soccer programs.
Ability to work with the Technical Director and/or State Administrator on additional duties that will further the development of the game and/or other projects required by ASA Board of Directors, applicable committees, or the Executive Director.
