$ 10.00 / hour plus fully paid tuition and fees. Full-time tuition is for nine graduate credits per term (fall and spring). Room and board, additional tuition charges, books and incidental costs are not covered. Summer tuition is not covered by the graduate assistantship.

Point Park University, a member of the River States Conference and a sponsor of 16 Varsity sports, is seeking applications for the 2023-24 academic year in the following areas: Graduate Assistant for Athletic Communications. The position of Graduate Assistant for Athletic Communications is responsible for: Assist with set up, preparation and coverage for athletic events at all Point Park University facilities and other off-site locations. Assist in the supervision of a large student worker group and table staff for home events. Assist administrative staff with game-day operations. Provide logistical and administrative support to head coaches. Assist with writing news releases; designing, editing and maintaining Point Park University official website and social media channels. Assist with game management, including in-game stat keeping, public address announcing and coordinating of live video stream of home contests. Assist in taking, scheduling, posting, and disseminating necessary individual and team photos for promotional and website use. Assist with preparing game-day programs as well as other athletics communication materials. Communicate with the athletics staff and coaches as well as Point Park University Conference and Event Services on facilities & scheduling needs. Demonstrate knowledge of compliance with the River States Conference and NAIA rules and regulations. Candidate must be willing to assist in driving team shuttle buses to and from practices / games. Candidate must be able to work extended and / or irregular hours including evenings and weekends, and be able to be on the field and court to record and report statistics, announce games, etc. Candidate must be currently enrolled or accepted into a Point Park University graduate school program by Fall 2023. Graduate Assistant for Men's Soccer. The position of Graduate Assistant for Men's Soccer is responsible for: Commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of the Department, the University, the River States Conference, and the NAIA. 2. Assist the Head Coach with planning and coordinating practices and tactics. Attend all practices. 3. Assist with pre-season and in-season training and conditioning of student-athletes. 4. Assist the Head Coach in the total recruiting process including evaluation, travel, correspondence, and personal contacts. Assist with updating and maintaining team social media channels. 5. Assist the Head Coach in developing the schedule, travel, disciplinary, fund raising and Community service program as it relates to the Men’s soccer program. Attend all contests. 6. Work compatibly and cooperatively with the staff and personnel of the athletics department. 7. Become Point Park University van certified and maintain certification assist in driving team shuttle buses to and from practices / games. 8. Bachelor’s degree is required. Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary. A valid driver’s license and ability to meet the requirements to drive University vehicles required. Collegiate Basketball playing and/or coaching experience preferred. Must demonstrate proficient organizational, communication and public relations skills; must possess general computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Candidate must be currently enrolled or accepted into a Point Park University graduate school program (preferably the Masters in Athletic Coaching and Administration program, education, journalism or mass communication) by Fall 2023.)
