Under general direction of the men’s soccer head coach, assist in all aspects of the NCAA Division I men’s soccer program including student recruitment, scheduling, team travel, scouting opponents, practice planning, assisting with the administration of summer camps and clinics, and administration of the men’s soccer program in full compliance with NCAA, conference and university rules and regulations.
Additional Minimum License/Certification:
Complete and pass the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Recruiting Examination per NCAA bylaw 12.1, 2.2.1 and be CPR certified bi-annually.
Current CPR & First Aid certification or must obtain within 30 days from date of hire and certified bi-annually.
Bachelor’s degree in related area and /or equivalent experience / training with a college level program.
Collegiate coaching and playing experience in the sport of men’s soccer.
Coaching and/or playing experience in the sport of soccer, preferably at the collegiate level.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) :
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Knowledge of the rules and strategies of men’s soccer. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching techniques, coaching strategies, and safety measures that are necessary for the UC Davis student-athlete to compete at the collegiate level.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
Ability to learn the complex policies and procedures regarding academic eligibility of UC Davis student-athletes. These include UC Davis, conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association policies and procedures.
