Head Women's Soccer Coach/Coordinator of Athletic Programs
Penn State Harrisburg welcomes nominations and applications for the position of Head Women's Soccer Coach/Coordinator of Athletic Programs. This position reports to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for the oversight and operation of the NCAA Division III varsity intercollegiate women's soccer program, including all aspects of coaching, recruiting, budgeting, scheduling and managing the intercollegiate program within the policies, and principles of Penn State University and the NCAA.
The Coach/Coordinator will be responsible for compliance with University policies, state laws, including those pertaining to required clearances, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations. This includes
Oversight of the activities of assistant coaches, staff, boosters and student athletes to verify compliance, with a mandate to self-report violations
Identify, evaluate, recruit, and retain prospective student athletes
Coordinate practice planning, skill development and design coaching strategies
Provide support for the coordination and execution of the athletic programs
Assist with the supervision and training of athletic programming staff; develop employee manuals and implement training programs and/or internships
Assist with the implementation of marketing and advertising plans for programs; present materials for camps, clinics, public speaking, and/or special events
Adhere to general and program-specific safety policies, including the communication and enforcement of safety practices; maintain certifications
Suggest items for purchase in support of athletic programming; ensure proper use of sports-related equipment and report issues; assist with equipment inventory and maintenance.
Adhere to and support work unit's strategic plan and adhere to established programming budget within University guidelines.
This position typically requires a Bachelors Degree or higher and four years of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. The position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to the clearances.
