Hastings College is looking for a Graduate Assistant for Women's Soccerl in 2020-21 starting 8/1/2020. Hastings College is an NAIA program competing in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. This position will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of operating a nationally ranked NAIA soccer program.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Recruitment of academically and athletically excellent student-athletes
Mentorship of student-athletes
Practice design and instruction
Organization of team travel
Video breakdown and analysis
Social Media development
Game day management including scheduling of game day staff
Candidates should be able to demonstrate strengths in the following areas:
Desire to pursue the profession of coaching or teaching
Organizational abilities and experience
Leadership abilities and experience
Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Abilities and experience using Word, Excel, and Google Docs.
Positive and diligent work ethic
Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience preferred. Goalkeeping experience preferred but
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree and a desire and ability to become accepted into our Masters of Teaching program in the fall of 2020. Graduate Assistant Position includes: tuition waiver, $5,000 yearly stipend, new iPad and all required course text books, and potential for free on-campus housing.
