The assistant women’s soccer coach reports directly to the head coach. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with the head coach in directing all phases of a Division II program, organizing and supervising all practices and games, recruiting, sport-specific training and skill instruction. Responsibilities also include other duties as assigned by the head coach, such as oversight of a specific position group, and teachesPEDclasses as required.
The position is grant-funded and the hired employee must identify as an ethnic minority and/or a woman. Bachelor’s degree required. 1-3 years coaching experience and previous collegiate playing experience. The candidate must have quality writing and speaking skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with student-athletes, parents, faculty, administrators and external constituents. Required travel with consistent work requirements on nights and weekends. Preferred: Master’s degree. Candidate should be knowledgeable aboutNCAADivision II, the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association andNCAAcompliance.
