Indy Premier is accepting applications for the position of Groundskeeper to manage and oversee the upkeep and improvement of club facilities. The club currently utilizes 9 locations for training and games in the Hamilton County area and also runs a large event in the fall in which the Groundskeeper would help with set up and organization. The Groundskeeper will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, stock control, routine custodial, grounds and equipment for facilities, including turf maintenance. The Groundskeeper will also need to maintain a suitable working environment for the organization and provide appropriate reporting, budgeting, and leadership associated with the role. The Groundskeeper will report directly to the club CEO.
Manage all field maintenance and landscaping schedules annually based on needs
Mow, edge, topdress, and brush fields on as needed basis
Manage all equipment maintenance schedules annually based on usage and needs (Change oil, grease fittings, etc)
Plan and budget for all field maintenance/improvement needs and any special projects
Communicate with Directors of Coaching and CEO consistently on any field issues
Set all fields for spring/fall seasons and tournaments with assistance from staff
Awareness of all soccer regulations/standards for field sizes and ranges
Coordinate and manage all turf field maintenance
Manage all equipment and vehicles with DOT and maintenance plans
Conduct periodic inspections of facilities for safety and maintenance
Specifies, purchases (or leases) equipment and necessary supplies/materials for maintenance
Previous experience maintaining grass and turf facilities
Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted
Possess knowledge of field maintenance equipment and ability to utilize (handheld and ride on)
Degree in turf management desirable, but not required
Working knowledge of agronomy and current practices for weed/pest/disease management
Must have valid driver’s license
