NCFC Youth is hiring for a full-time staff coach in our US Soccer Boys Development Academy program. This person is responsible for team coaching and program directives, as determined by the Academy Director. As a staff coach, this person will be responsible for executing all on-field responsibilities as well as all administrative/office responsibilities (~16 hrs/week). As part of the Academy coaching staff, your role will also involve collaborating with other coaches and directors to support the Academy's goals in player development, team development, and program development.
Create and deliver a fun, challenging and competitive learning environment for all players in every training session and match day.
Devise and execute training sessions (4x/weekly per team) in line with the Academy philosophy and yearly periodization outlined by the Academy Director.
Handle all components of match preparation including team selection, opponent analysis, video breakdown, set pieces etc. within DA league games, friendlies, and other events.
Work with Performance and Medical staff to monitor and improve player well-being.
Work closely with GK coaches to ensure positive GK integration into the team environment in line with the weekly topics.
Support other Academy teams and head coaches when schedule allows (examples include assisting head coach of age group below on match day, attending other Academy games, etc.)
Create individual development plan for each player and provide feedback on progress during the course of the season
Scout/Identify players inside the NCFC Youth (e.g., ECNL, Classic) and outside of the club throughout the season, with peak times during the mid/late spring
Host and Manage Open ID sessions (4x/year) and tryouts (3 sessions in April/May)
Help run Flex Schooling sessions (1-2x/week in mornings)
Offer and coordinate futsal training sessions (seasonal) and and combined training sessions for U11-U14 age groups
Contribute to NCFC Youth / North Carolina FC's "Youth-to-Pro" model through player and club pathways and opportunities
Potential involvement with North Carolina FC’s USL League 2 Program
High School Diploma Required; Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Preferred
USSF B License minimum required, USSF A License Preferred
5+ Years of Youth Coaching Experience Preferred, Professional Environments Preferred
Expert knowledge related to youth player development
