The University of the Incarnate Word Men’s Soccer team is in search of a qualified candidate for the position of Men’s Assistant Soccer Coach to assist with coaching, mentoring and the development of men’s soccer players at the NCAA Division 1 level. This position is considered a “Responsible Employee” under University of the Incarnate Word’s Sexual Misconduct Policy with reporting responsibilities as set out in the policy.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to: player development, recruiting, travel, social media, assist with camps, scout/video analysis, academic support, attend administrative meetings, represent UIW and the men’s soccer brand at all times, attend to any other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Be able to multitask. Be willing to travel. Be able to work with Microsoft Office and Adobe products. Strong interpersonal management and communication skills. Have the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Southland Conference, and the NCAA.
Required Work Experience
Experience playing soccer at the collegiate level. Experience working with a recruiting database and video match analysis software systems.
Masters degree preferred.
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and insurable under UIW’s insurance carrier.
Must be willing to work, nights, weekends and holidays.
