Operations, Operations - Player Development
Primary responsibility for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Youth Competitive Program in conjunction with the Executive Director (“ED”). Secondary responsibility includes approximately 20% of your time working with other Programs (tournament operations, recreational programs) within CUSA and the overall operations of the larger organization in conjunction with the ED. The DOC along with the ED will be seen as “the face to the Club” and therefore must be willing and able to be visible and approachable in this role.
Significant and well-rounded soccer experience ideally in playing, coaching, educating, and administrating youth, high school, college, and club organizations. Prefer a Bachelor’s degree, National Youth License, and at least a B License or equivalent. Self-motivated and works well with little guidance. Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others, in a “team like” approach. Strong organizational skills. Strong written and oral communication skills with a significant ability to communicate with confidence and persuasiveness to the kids and the parents who play a significant role in youth soccer. Comfort and experience with common business software applications such as Microsoft Office and/or related Apple products. Experience working with web sites. The Executive Board and ED will work with the DOC to establish a list of specific and measurable goals and objectives on an annual basis. Annual reviews will be performed to discuss and evaluate progress.
Additional Salary Information: Compensation includes an annual salary ranging from $50,000 - $70,000, and expense allowances (cell phone, office, travel, apparel) of approximately $4,000 annually. The potential to coach no more than 1 team can add approximately $7,000 per year.
About CUSA Soccer
With roots dating back to the early 1970's, Dayton, Ohio based CUSA Soccer is a non-profit club that was established to provide area children an opportunity to learn and enjoy playing the game of soccer. CUSA Soccer is a provides year round opportunities for players' ages 2 to Adult with both grassroots recreational and competitive programs. CUSA competitive teams participate in both USYS based leagues and events through Ohio South and also in US Club based leagues from EPL through the NPL.
In October 2017 CUSA Soccer was also accepted into the Super Y-League for the 2018 season.
Leadership is provided by the Executive Board and a full-time Executive Director of Operations, with support from three volunteer program committees a Director of Coaching and four Assistant Directors of Coaching.
