The position will report to the Head Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach for job responsibilities and other College related activities as outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual. Essential duties include but are not limited to the following: •Assist the head coach with management and directing the Men’s and Women’s Soccer program; •Meet with head coach to insure NJCAA, Region XIV, and Angelina College eligibility requirements are met; •Keep up to date statistics and provide them to the appropriate entity; •Make all arrangements for team travel and recruiting; •Develop a fall and spring schedule; •Develop a recruitment plan and actively recruit student athletes; •Actively participate in a plan to enhance community relations; •Conduct camps to provide a community service to the youth in our service area; •Track the progress of each player in all classes; •Develop practice schedules; •Teach the fundamentals skills and drills; •Develop a weight training and fitness program; •Supervise student-athlete study table; •Establish and maintain an ethical and moral code of behavior and living that is expected of the players on and off campus; and •Serve as an instructor in the HPED Program or serve as a recruiting generalist for Enrollment Services.
Three (3) years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a diverse group of student and faculty.
Public service orientation to work well with faculty/staff/students and community.
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
Ability to work with diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
Acceptable computer skills.
Ability to stay abreast of current and developing trends (video, audio, data).
