The Athletic Department at Dean College is currently looking for a head coach for its men’s soccer program. The position is full-time with additional responsibilities based on the qualifications of the candidate. These responsibilities may include, but are not limited to; academic support, advisement and monitoring of student-athlete progress, sports information, event management, and/or equipment room duties. This individual will lead all aspects of the men’s soccer program, including but not limited to; daily coaching, team training, practice preparation, individualized instruction, game planning, strength and conditioning, fundraising, scouting, film exchange, community engagement, NCAA policies and regulations, camps and clinics, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. This individual should also be a dynamic recruiter of qualified student-athletes. The Dean College Athletics Department is a Provisional Division III member of the NCAA and competes as a member of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) and the USCAA. This suburban location is located equal distances from Boston, MA and Providence, RI.
Qualifications: A Master’s Degree required. Competitive collegiate playing experience, or similar preferred. Excellent communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Self-starter and ability to multi-task with attention to detail. Excellent computer skills. Ability to travel and work extended hours. Ability to move and lift equipment – as determined. Ability to provide skill instruction and leadership
