The Assistant Coach works under the direction of the Head Soccer Coach. The Goalkeeper Coach provides coaching expertise and instruction and assists the head coach in the effective management and administration of the soccer program.
Description of Job Duties
Plan and supervise goal keeper training sessions at practices and games. Develop goalkeeper technical skill and competence. Develop goalkeepers' understanding of team play and defensive systems. Develop goalkeepers' leadership capacity. Skills in training and instructing the game of soccer.
Strong commitment to the development of student-athletes. Provide an example of leadership and sportsmanlike conduct. Become familiar with and implement all necessary college policies, rules, regulations and guidelines as they relate to this position, including student rights and responsibilities concerning harassment of any kind and drug and alcohol use. Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations.
Required Work Experience
Previous successful coaching or playing experience at the college, semi-professional, professional, or international level.
Must have a valid U.S. driver's license. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Background checks are required for all positions.
This is a part-time position, paid by stipend.
