Clark University’s Athletics Department seeks to fill the position of Part-time Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach. Reporting to the Head Coach, the successful candidate will assist the head coach and staff in all aspects of a competitive NCAA DIII women’s soccer program. This position offers an $8,000 stipend with opportunities to supplement income by working camps and clinics and coaching with a local youth soccer club.
Duties and Responsibilities Included in a range of responsibilities, the Assistant Soccer Coach will assist in coaching practice sessions and games as directed by the head coach, will scout opponents with the Head Coach to help prepare, plan, conduct and evaluate practice sessions as required, and will assist with filming and film break down. In addition, the Assistant Coach will assist with keeping inventory and issuing of equipment and with marketing and public relations.
The Assistant Coach will assist in recruiting student athletes, will plan recruiting trips with the Head Coach to attend off-campus games to evaluate athletes, will prepare and distribute recruiting information and maintain a recruiting database. The Assistant Coach will maintain current knowledge of and abide by NCAA/NEWMAC rules, policies and procedures and will demonstrate integrity and uphold the values and mission of Clark University.

Qualifications The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, a driver’s license and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Collegiate level playing and/or coaching experience is strongly preferred, as well as goalkeeper training experience. Candidate should possess strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with a diversified group. Candidate must be willing to travel. Practices are generally 2 hours in the evening between 4:00-8:00 and games are Tuesdays/Saturdays. Preseason is flexible. Review of applications will begin immediately.
